Ponderosa (sleeps 8)

Ponderosa is far and away the favorite cabin of our guests and staff. Ponderosa is our largest cabin. It contains a handicap accessible bathroom and bedroom with a queen bed on the first floor. The second floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins and a queen bed. The downstairs living room has a couch, chair, gas fireplace controlled by thermostat, and a small dining table.

Please note that while Ponderosa can technically sleep 8, that does not mean 7-8 adults will be comfortable staying together in this cabin. There is only one bathroom. Our recommendation for maximum occupancy is four adults (2 couples) and children in the third bedroom, or perhaps three friendly couples, one in each bedroom. Parties with more adults than this should rent additional accommodations. Special arrangements will not be made for those who decide to go against our recommendations.

Like all our cabins, Ponderosa has one full bathroom, south facing deck with seating, outdoor charcoal bbq, dedicated parking, bedding/towels, TV/DVD player (no cable), and no wifi.

All maximum occupancies (8 for Ponderosa) are firm. “Piling in” to our cabins, as well as having guests sleep in vehicles or tents outside, is prohibited. Lake Alpine Lodge is not responsible for expenses incurred by parties arriving with additional guests. Children count as people.
